Good bye Blogger. Hello WordPress! June 27, 2009

Well, if you’ve made it here then my grand plans of redirection from Blogger to WordPress are complete! Welcome to the new blog – I hope you like it! I’m planning on getting a few more photos up in the gallery (the “best of” my collection of riding photos) and one day, I’ll sit down and write an up-to-date blurb for my profile.
I haven’t been riding too much lately, although I did manage to get a couple of hours in up on Signal Hill during the week. It’s amazing how different it is riding on clay (the 4wd roads) to pine needles and rocks. It was also the first time I’d come down the 4wd track to the lower playing field of the school at the bottom since 2006. In late 2006, there was a fire that destroyed a large amount of the bush on lower Signal Hill, much to the dismay of the Dunedin downhill community who were running a Nationals DH round there a couple of months later! Two and a half years on, the landscape has changed quite a bit. A new DH course now goes through the sparse environment, and parts of the old 4wd track have turned into a small stream. As we progress and evolve as riders, so too does the landscape that we’re riding in. Kind of neat huh?
